    Apple Pie colombian style

The origin of this dessert is somewhat unclear, and given the circumstances, we must assume it was born in Europe, a continent with a long tradition of apple cultivation. Moreover, the European pastry cookbook features many pies and fruit fillings. There are
dessert books from the 14th century that already included recipes for apple pies or
those filled with other fruits, such as pears. Among the written documentation on this
topic, it is worth mentioning the cookbook “The Forme of Cury,” edited in 1390 by the
cooks of Richard II of England. Its pages contain a recipe for apple pie, called “Tartys in
    applis.”
